$100,000 Pledged in 100 in 100 Campaign

Vince Watts, Interim President and CEO, and 100 in 100 committee chair Nadine McIlwain-Maseey, announced at the January 18 MLK Community Celebration the Greater Stark County Urban League had exceeded is goal of raising $100,000 in 100 days. The campaign offically ended on January 18, and has entered into its pledge collection phase. Donations and pledge payments are still be accepted. Final reporting on the 100 in 100 campaign is expected in early February. More pictures of the MLK event are on our Facebook page.

The 100 in 100 Campaign is nearing its end. The campaign is officially scheduled to close on Jan 18 with campaign wrap up and final pledge collection as tasks following the campaign close. It is not too late to donate. Donate safely and securely online or mail your payment payable to Greater Stark County Urban League to:

Announcing 100 in 100

The Greater Stark County Urban League today publically launched a new fundraising campaign “100 in 100” on radio station WINW Joy 1520. Interim CEO Vince Watts, campaign chair Nadine McIlwain-Massey, board member Traci Dunn and board chair Mack Smith participated in a spirited panel discussion with host Curtis Perry on his Sunday morning show. The theme of the campaign “100 in 100” describes the campaign’s goal – raising $100,000 in 100 days. The campaign ends on January 18, 2010. The campaign’s end date coincides with Martin Luther King Day. 2010 is also the 100th anniversary of the National Urban League.

The “100 in 100” campaign is focused on generating financial support from the individuals and communities served by the Urban League in the past and present. The campaign committee, chaired by Ms McIIwain-Massey is comprised of community and grassroots leaders who are dedicating their time and resources to raise the funding necessary revitalize the Urban League. Additional committee members are planned.
