Our facebook page launched last night through the virtual efforts of Jason Smith. Check us out. Become a fan, join in the discussion or RSVP to the Education Empowerment Summit to be held Monday, November 9.
We’re making changes at The Greater Stark Urban League and one of those changes is better utilization of technology. Social networking for non profits is steadily increasing and we need to be a part of this growing trend. Simply defined, social networking is the online interaction of people with common interests. For GSCUL, it means reaching out and connecting with our members, donors and supporters, and making it easier for them to interact with us. This blog is one example, as is our recently launched twitter account (we need some followers!).
Increasingly, our donors and members handle their personal finances online so we’ve added online payment processing for donations and memberships on myurbanleague.org, our donors and members site. We’re continuing to explore additional opportunities to grow our social networking presence and welcome any ideas on how we can better connect with you.
