GSCUL mourns the loss of board member Larry Able
We are shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of long time board member Larry Able. Mr. Able passed away on June 27 as a result of a fall at his residence. Among his other church and civic leadership roles, Mr Able was tireless champion and support of the former Massillon Urban League and more recently, the Greater Stark County Urban League. We will miss his compassion for his community and his dedication and leadership as a member of the Greater Stark County Urban League Board of Directors. Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family – wife Linda and children Larry and Kim.
A Celebration of Mr. Able’s life will be 10:30 AM Friday July 3, 2009 at St. James AME Zion Church in Massillon; his pastor Rev. Robert Lewis will deliver the eulogy. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 PM at the church and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Mr. Able’s obituary can be found here.
